Go Do That! is a curated roundup of weekend arts and culture events from the San Antonio Report. Follow us on Instagram to get these recommendations in video form.

Fiesta will fill San Antonio’s streets this weekend, but the city’s culture is rich enough that there’s plenty else to do as you weave in and out of Fiesta festivities.

Thursday at 7 p.m., Dellview Music Center’s Little Stage Series commences with local favorite Noah Harris, also Midwest Armadillo and Laura Marie. A $10 cover charge gets you in.

Friday night, surf on some dreamy guayabera pop with California band Los Shadows at Paper Tiger. Doors open at 8 p.m., and the show starts at 9 p.m. with opening acts Gio Chamba and Los Juanos.

Friday and Saturday, celebrate modern and contemporary dance at the San Antonio Dance Festival at the Carver Community Cultural Center — featuring San Antonio’s very own SumRset Movement and Felicia McBride, along with dancers from such far flung locales as Austin, Cincinnati and Monterrey, Mexico.

Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Candler Physical Education Center (across from San Pedro Springs Park on the San Antonio College campus), the annual Celebrations of Traditions Pow Wow is an opportunity to participate in American Indian dance and music culture during Fiesta.

And since it’s National Poetry Month, get ready to go mega for Urban-15’s annual Mega Corazón 24-hour online poetry event. Visit the nonprofit music and dance culture organization’s website to watch the livestream featuring new San Antonio poet laureate Eddie Vega and many others.
