Starting Thursday and running through March 17, San Antonio’s newest theater company, 100A Productions, presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning play Crimes of the Heart at the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater.

If you need a music pick-me-up after that, notable New York band The Silos and local favorites Buttercup will perform at The Lonesome Rose. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m.

Friday, March 8, artist Maverick Pascal presents a new body of work called About Words at Bright Coffee from 6-9 p.m.

Also Friday night, celebrate Women’s History Month at the opening reception of Las Mujeres de Aztlan from 6-9 p.m. at Centro Cultural Aztlan, with live music by Ariel Corinne. The show will be on view through March 28.

Saturday, artist Anita Becerra presents Influencia, a multimedia solo exhibition at Mercury Project featuring dance, video and a community clay sculpture. If you missed her last show, this is a chance to catch up with the work of a compelling San Antonio artist.

And on Sunday, if you’re looking for a Women’s March afterparty, performance artist Amalia Ortiz presents Las Hijas de la Madre, described as a queer Chicanx feminist punk band, at 2 p.m. at Milam Park.
