San Antonio Independent School District staff has released a list of 15 recommended schools to be closed as part of the "rightsizing" of the district. The schools recommended for closure are as follows (left to right from top) Doris Miller Elementary, Storm Elementary, Highland Park Elementary, Carroll Early Childhood, Forbes Elementary, Gates Elementary, Douglas Elementary, Nelson Early Childhood, Lamar Elementary, Huppertz Elementary, Foster Elementary, Knox Early Childhood, Tynan Early Childhood, Green Elementary and Baskin Elementary.
