San Antonio’s own David Monroe is a prolific inventor that has been labeled a patent troll. He integrated his wireless video technology into the first cell phone camera, first military and industrial wireless surveillance systems, and since has become ubiquitous. You should visit with Mr. Monroe at the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology which he founded.

These real inventors are getting wiped out by the tech goliaths that manufactured this patent troll propaganda. You don’t need to feel sorry for Apple, their trillion dollar multi-national corporation is not threatened by Bob and Victor.

If you want San Antonio to become a hub for innovation, you should talk to these inventors about what it takes to create a new technology and compete with the big guys. You will find these are the kind of innovators San Antonio should be encouraging.

In reply to Guy Hamilton. Excellent idea! Harry Wurzbach is one ugly stretch of traffic congestion and noise. A nice promenade and bike lane would enhance this entire area and could easily connect to the lateral park system. The commercial businesses definitely need to clean up trash and debris for everyone along this route; such an eyesore in San Antonio.

I find it maddening to think that the 6.5 million illegal aliens Mr Casey refers to should have any impact on number of representatives. They are part of our population but SHOULD NOT be voting nor entitled to representation. There are good, sound, reasons for including a citizenship question on the census. “They need to try harder. Come up with a better lie.”. That’s a petty, reprehensible comment, even from someone in a profession often challenged with the truth.

Put the question on the form. Most of those 6.5 million will ignore the census laws just as they violated immigration laws to be here.

Great article! I appreciate the gentle self-reflection balanced with meeting a true need as our city grows: a timely discussion of scooter safety, personal responsibility, and a reminder to all that the riders who use (or abuse) scooters in public spaces are also people.

Brian, democrats have not abandoned God and put immigrants first.

Most democrats put democracy first. Gross misinformation by President Trump is creating crisis and destroying the democratic process. Misinformation is creating fear and hatred of immigrants.

In January 2019 Trump spread misinformation by tweeting that 55,000 of 95,000 legal permanent residents in Texas COMMITTED VOTER FRAUD.

The 55,000 legal permanent residents applied for a Texas driver’s license. Texas county officials have reported back to Governor Abbott, that the 55,000 legal permanent residents voted, after they became United States citizens. Trump’s tweets that Mexicans are rapists and criminals, and, that African countries are shit holes, also has created fear and hatred of immigrants.
