Tonight is Tony’s Siesta’s first Tejano Thursday event, featuring the melodic rhythms of Grupo TanTan performing from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. amid a backdrop of food trucks and happy folks.

Friday evening at Sala Diaz, apply for cosmic citizenship with artists Kim Bishop and Luis Valderas together as Project MASA, or the MeChicano Alliance of Space Artists. The free reception runs 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

On Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and free for all ages, former San Antonio poet laureat Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson presents the culmination of the Rhythm and Rhyme Hip-Hop Workshop with an afternoon party at Berta Almaguer Dance Studio and Community Center.

Have you ever played a plant? Well you can do just that at Estafiate: Music for Plants, a performance by multimedia artist Pamela Martinez, also known as Teletextile. The free event featuring two dozen participating artists takes place Saturday evening at 6 p.m. in Chris Park, right across from Ruby City.

Go green! The St. Patricks Day River Parade floats along the Museum Reach from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., then moves to the downtown River Walk from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
